Gretsch ‘62 reissue Country Gentleman
Raymond Eicher
I owned an original Gretsch Country Gentleman in the late 1960’s. I had a love/hate relationship with it. The bridge moved every time you rested your hand anywhere near it. This model also has so many knobs that I never quite figured out their purpose. I just loved the sound thru mu Fender Twin Reverb and it played so nicely.
Shown here is a friends recent Japanese 62’ reissue. It’s exacting to a “T”. Really fun to play.
Ps. We put violin peg dope on the bottom of the bridge to keep it in place. It shouldn’t harm the finish and is presently hold quite securely.
